How do you become a forensic scientist?

ok well im doing a project for mrs finks english class and i need websites and book suggestions for a forensic scientist because i have a research project due on what i want to do when i grow up and i want to be a forensic scientist just like abby NCIS so please help mee cause i cant find nothing on what i want to do!!!! PLEASE!!!!
