Poll-Can I get some serious advice please (short details)?

Ok, so I don't get people. All I did was tell my girlfriend's dad that both his daughters are smoking hot and look fantastic in the nude. Now it's like the whole family is freaking mad at me, so I said quick, "well, I'm sure if I ever get to see your wife undressed also, she'll be the best of the three." And dude got all mad and kicked me out. So what's a good way to smooth things over?
